Dargestellt werden u.a. die wissenschaftliche Laufbahn, Beurteilungen durch Vorgesetzte, NS-Dienststellen und SED-Institutionen, Mitgliedschaften und Auszeichnungen sowie der Werdegang nach 1945. Die Autoren stützen sich vor allem auf bislang wenig beachtete Quellen aus verschiedenen Archiven.
