Come, Lord Christ,
to restore all that has been lost
through struggle and fear,
in sorrow and in pain.

born of a woman
adored by the lowly
sharing our frailty
to raise us to glory
in passion and rising
you transform our story.

through the power of the Spirit
fulfil our desires

God of generous love,
you give freely of yourself
in your Son Jesus Christ.
Bless us as we choose gifts
as tokens of love and affection.
Free us from losing the purpose
in the bags and wrappings;
keep us from spending more than we can afford
and from falling into debt.
