Consta de cuatro capítulos: el primero está dedicado a la clínica y su demarcación epistemológica en el campo de la psicología general; se encuentran allí aspectos que tal demarcación debe tener en cuenta para identificar y diferenciar cada uno de los campos de aplicación propios de la psicología. El segundo capítulo recoge, de manera sintética, el nacimiento de la clínica en la historia de las ciencias, resaltando el origen de la psicología clínica. El tercer capítulo está conformado por tres unidades y aborda los conceptos clínicos psicológicos fundamentales alrededor de tres temáticas: fines, objetos y concepto de salud y psicopatología, y evidencia el proceso clínico y sus constantes: evaluación, diagnóstico e intervención, trabajo comunitario e investigación. El capítulo cuarto se propone mostrar un panorama general sobre los problemas actuales de la psicología clínica.
