En este estudio se contrastan las circunstancias y condiciones en las que las profesoras aprenden a ejercer sus labores pedagógicas; al mismo tiempo, las autoras sostienen que en tal proceso es indispensable "cuidar" de las maestras para que puedan "cuidar y formar". Por ello, los grupos focales de discusión son la herramienta metodológica clave para escuchar voces, evaluar argumentos y, sobre todo, acompañar el proceso formativo y laboral.
