Pensar la gestión urbana ha sido un tema de interés para diferentes actores. Específicamente en nuestro país, la Universidad Piloto de Colombia ha liderado la preocupación por el tema, razón por la cual hace 26 años en el seno de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Artes crea la Maestría con dicho nombre. La Maestría al igual que la noción, ha ido transformándose con los años y acontecimientos nacionales e internacionales; y en su búsqueda por mantener abierto el debate sobre el campo de la gestión urbana, razón por la cual decide editar el libro La Gestión Urbana en América Latina.
