Las diversas microhistorias recopiladas en este libro partieron de la idea de casos aislados que, durante mucho tiempo, habían pasado inadvertidos por parte de historiadores e investigadores. La conmemoración que hoy se hace al claustro, junto a una mirada en perspectiva —y haciendo alusión al Plan de Desarrollo de la institución— permite concluir que la Universidad del Rosario continúa formando a sus estudiantes bajo los mismos principios rectores con los que fue fundada, esto es, no solo ser de los estudiantes y para ellos, sino constituirse en un baluarte para la formación ética, humanística y científica.
