La sua opera unisce felicemente elementi della tradizione tomista, del platonismo e del pensiero medievale (elaborati nella scuola filosofica di Lublino) a riflessioni vicine all'approccio analitico e alle ricerche storico-filosofiche di W?adys?aw Tatarkiewicz, alla fenomenologia della forma sviluppata da Roman Ingarden e a originali esperienze estetiche nel campo dell'arte, innanzi tutto della musica (Chopin, Lutos?awski, Górecki), della pittura e della poesia (Norwid). Questo particolare "dialogo tra filosofie", anche distanti nel tempo e di differente orientamento, attesta un costante impegno a fondare le problematizzazioni contemporanee sul patrimonio antico e classico, e feconda, inoltre, un reciproco integrarsi e sostenersi dell'indagine filosofica e dell'analisi di opere artistiche. Tale intreccio permette all'autore di esporre fruttuosamente alle sfide odierne del pensiero e della percezione estetica la sua visione profondamente radicata nella tradizione. Senza eludere i problemi dell'attualità, le sue riflessioni mettono in risalto il permanente significato del bello nei suoi nessi col bene e con la verità, e quindi con l'orizzonte dei valori e del senso.
