Nell'Ethica la filosofia di Spinoza si presenta nel proprio rigore razionale scandito secondo il mos geometricum, capace di fare emergere le ricche tensioni concettuali proprie del pensiero spinoziano, come quelle tra realtà e ideale, tra necessità e libertà , tra ragione e intuizione, tra finito e infinito. Seguendo nel proprio svolgersi tale pensiero e considerando anche altre opere di Spinoza, questo studio evidenzia come la concezione dinamica del Deus seu Natura, lontana da qualsiasi antropomorfismo e antropocentrismo, permetta di delineare la realizzazione dell'essere umano in questa vita e su questa terra attraverso la conoscenza e il rispetto delle leggi universali della Natura. Tale itinerario, allo stesso tempo teoretico e pratico, è frutto di una continua conquista che comporta l'affermazione del proprio esistere per ogni singolo individuo nella sua unità di Mente e Corpo e, proprio per questo, conduce necessariamente alla ricerca della libertà , della giustizia, dell'uguaglianza e del reciproco aiuto fra tutti gli esseri umani, cosÏ che ciascuno possa vivere nella gioia del bene agere et laetari essendo homo homini deus.
