Der auf den Nachschriften von Griesheim, Helcel, Stieve, Pinder und Löwe beruhende Text bildet eine zuverlässige Rekonstruktion des Hegelschen Vortrags.Der Text der Einleitung, die eine Einführung in den Begriff der Geschichte der Philosophie darstellt, beruht auf sämtlichen Manuskripten Hegels und allen von ihm vorgetragenen Kollegien.
