Wie zeigt sich Seelsorge, wenn sie zentral auf ihre Orientierung an der Unantastbarkeit der WĂźrde des Menschen zurĂźckgefĂźhrt wird? Die vorliegende Arbeit entwirft eine Hermeneutik des Menschlichen und GrundzĂźge einer menschlichen Seelsorge als Beitrag zur pastoraltheologischen Grundlagenforschung. Sie setzt dazu beim MenschenwĂźrdebegriff des Grundgesetzes an und erschlieĂt das Menschliche als etwas, das im Ereignis zugänglich wird. So entsteht eine Hermeneutik des Menschlichen, das sich ereignishaft zeigen kann, wenn Menschen einander im Bewusstsein ihrer fragmentarischen Wahrnehmung des jeweils Anderen begegnen. Damit wird beschreibbar, was in einem kriteriologischen Sinne eigentlich erst "pastoral" zu nennen ist. Die Arbeit entwickelt vom Menschlichen her einen MaĂstab "Pastoralität", an dem kirchliches Handeln sich messen kann.
