This book is composed of 13 chapters, and begins with the determination of physical quantities and symbols for physical quantities, which are generally organized in a dimensional system built upon seven base quantities. The succeeding chapters deal with recommended names and symbols for quantities in chemistry and physics. These topics are followed by discussions on units and symbols for units, numbers that printed in upright type. Other chapters describe physical quantities, units, and numerical values, recommended mathematical symbols, symbols for chemical elements, nuclides, and particles. The final chapters consider the values of some fundamental constants. This book will be of value to analytical and physical chemists.
