Februar mit Salutschüssen und einer zeremoniellen Zusammenkunft - begangen werden, jährlich zu feiern. Warum wurde dieser Festtag eingeführt?Wie feierte man den Tag?Was waren die Motive der Teilnehmenden?Diese akademische Arbeit, die erstmals so gut wie alle bisher bekannten geschriebenen Primärquellen im Anhang im Volltext aufführt, geht diesen Fragen für die Regierungszeit Elizabeths I. und James I. nach.Abbildungen der im College of Arms aufbewahrten zehn "Score Cheques" der am Accession Day aufgeführten Turniere sind beigefügt.
