El presente libro intenta aproximar al lector la vida y la obra poética del escritor Humberto Rivas que abandonó España en 1923 y murió en el más absoluto anonimato en Estados Unidos. Impulsor junto a su hermano José Rivas Panedas de la revista Ultra, Humberto Rivas es uno de los grandes desconocidos de la literatura de vanguardia. Luis Buñuel no dudó en considerar que "Humberto fue al ultraísmo lo que Breton al surrealismo. Mucho más importante que del Vando Villar". Capítulo a capítulo podremos descubrir su biografía, su obra poética -hasta el día de hoy no recogida en volumen-, sus días en México en pleno estridentismo, la gestación de las revistas Sagitario y Circunvalación y una breve muestra de la correspondencia mantenida con Alfonso Reyes, Carmen Conde y Sebastià Gasch, entre otros, así como su faceta de articulista en diversas publicaciones españolas y mexicanas.
