Obra de teatroJosé Luis Alonso de Santos nace en Valladolid en 1942. Desde 1959 vive en Madrid, donde estudió Ciencias de la Información (Imagen), Filosofía y Letras (Psicología) y Teatro en el Teatro Estudio de Madrid. Su carrera teatral se inicia en 1964 en los grupos de teatro independiente TEM, TABANO, TEI, y después diez años como actor, director y dramaturgo en el grupo TEATRO LIBRE de Madrid (1971-1981).Ha dirigido una veintena de espectáculos y ha escrito varias versionesteatrales y diez obras estrenadas como autor, que vienen representándose con continuidad, tanto en España como en el extranjero.Es profesor de Interpretación de la Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático y Danza de Madrid. En 1988 funda con Gerardo Malla y Rafael Álvarez "El Brujo" la productora teatral Pentación.Ha recibido, entre otros, el "Premio Nacional de Teatro", "Aguilar", "Rojas Zorrilla", "Mayte", "Tirso de Molina", "Baco de Teatro", "Ciudad de Valladolid", etc.
