Los diversos ensayos rastrean entonces cómo se manifiesta y se contempla, en la producción intelectual y literaria venezolanas, el espíritu de ruptura radical que emerge periódicamente en nuestra sociedad y niega el pasado y la institucionalidad en nombre de los intereses supuestos del pueblo. Este texto recibió la mención de honor en la Bienal de Ensayo Enrique Bernardo Núñez, Ateneo de Valencia (2006).
