Der Autor untersucht die Regulierung ausländischer Parteivertreter in internationalen Schiedsverfahren mit Sitz in Deutschland. Anders als vor nationalen Gerichten dürfen in internationalen Schiedsverfahren auch ausländische Parteivertreter, d.h. Anwälte, die nicht am Sitz des Schiedsgerichts zugelassen sind, als Bevollmächtigte auftreten. Welches Berufsrecht ist auf sie anwendbar? Wird ihre Tätigkeit vom deutschen Strafrecht erfasst? Welche Kompetenzen haben Schiedsgerichte, um etwa kollidierende Berufsrechte in Ausgleich zu bringen oder Fehlverhalten zu sanktionieren? Neben diesen Fragen diskutiert der Autor außerdem, ob eine zusätzliche Regulierung durch sog. «Soft-Law», wie etwa den Guidelines von IBA oder LCIA, für den Schiedsstandort Deutschland notwendig oder wünschenswert ist.
