Mit dem Instrumentarium der historischen Stereotypenforschung untersucht die Autorin das Polen- und das Judenbild sowie das sich daraus ergebende deutsche Selbstbild in der deutschen Minderheitenpresse in Polen aus den Jahren 1918-1939. Die Untersuchung soll einen Beitrag dazu leisten, auf die zentrale Frage der Arbeit eine Antwort zu geben: War die deutsche Minderheit in der Zweiten Polnischen Republik eine homogene Gruppe? Dieser methodische Ansatz fĂŒhrt nicht nur dazu, die Geschichte der deutschen Minderheit oder der deutsch-polnischen und deutsch-jĂŒdischen Beziehungen aus einem neuen Blickwinkel zu betrachten, sondern gewinnt auch neue Erkenntnisse im Bereich der Stereotypentheorie und der Funktionsweise von Stereotypen innerhalb einer Gruppe.
