Il tema della conoscenza non è quindi affrontato nei termini restrittivi di innovazione nei processi e nei prodotti, di ricerca e sviluppo, di brevetti e marchi, di design industriale e proprietà intellettuale. Questi aspetti sono tutti trattati nelle schede del Rapporto, ma non le esauriscono.
