1. Duty free admission of fuel contained in the fuel tanks of commercial motor vehicles: lorries and coaches COM(84) 171, COM(86) 383 PARTIALLY ADOPTED (coaches) 8/7/85 Dir. 85/347 (OJL 183 of 16/7/85)
COMMENTS:
Entry into force: 1/10/1985. Proposal updated by COM(86) 383 – lorries. The proposal amends Directive No 68/297/EEC on the above, in which the duty-free admission limit of fuel was raised from 50 to 200 litres. The measure has been adopted to facilitate the crossing of frontiers, with a view to abolishing all cross-border restrictions.
2. Single Administration document (SAD) third country aspects ADOPTED 8/7/85 Regul. 1900/85 & 1901/85 EEC (OJL 179 of 11/7/85)
COMMENTS:
Entry into force: 1/1/1988. To simplify formalities in trade in goods within the Commission, a single document has been created for declarations for dispatch, internal Community transit and entry of goods for home use or their entry to another Member State.
3. Simplification of Community transit procedure: transit advice note and guarantee discontinued Reg. 222/77; C0M(79) 456 & COM (80) 354 ADOPTED 11/6/87 Reg. 87/1674 (OJL 157/87 of 17/6/87)
COMMENTS:
Entry into force: 1/7/88.
4. Abolition of customs presentation charges ADOPTED 9/6/86 Reg. 1797/86 (OJL 157 of 12/6/86)
COMMENTS:
Entry into force 1/1/1988; derogations for SPAIN and PORTUGAL.
5. Elimination of customs formalities in the framework of the TIR Convention (COM(86) 184) and the introduction of common border posts - 'banalisation' COM(86) 524 ADOPTED 1/12/86 (TIR aspect) Reg. 3690/86 (OJL 341 of 4/12/86)
COMMENTS:
Entry into force: 1/7/87; no derogations foreseen. See Section II summary of this Directive for additional information.
