In questo volume Francesco S. Trincia realizza un confronto tra le lezioni husserliane del 1906/07 di Introduzione alla logica e alla teoria della conoscenza e l'importante studio di Bruce Bégout sulla genealogia della logica in Husserl, pubblicato nel 2000. L'Autore, che qui offre una primissima analisi critica delle lezioni del 1906/07, recentemente tradotte in italiano (2019), mostra le differenze e, insieme, la co-implicazione circolare – basata su un difficile "equilibrio asimmetrico" – tra "due (apparentemente distinti) Husserl": da un lato, lo Husserl del primato della logica e delle sue operazioni costitutive, quale emerge nell'Introduzione, e, dall'altro, lo Husserl della fondazione originaria e passiva, rivalutato da Bégout. L'ambivalenza della costituzione fenomenologica rinvia alla duplicità dell'ego unitario, vero centro da cui la genealogia della logica ricava il suo telos, l'unità del processo costituente, mentre viene sottratta ad una determinazione unidirezionale per gradi fissi, progressivi e separati, lungo il percorso di una processualità rivolta in avanti e dimentica del proprio passato passivo.
