Tommaso Scuccimarra è nato a Roma (quartiere di Testaccio) il 7 marzo 1971. Sposato e padre di una bambina, vive e lavora a Gaeta, preziosa località turistica in provincia di Latina, mèta ambita ed apprezzata per le sue doti naturali, storiche ed artistiche (tanto da essere soprannominata la "Perla del Tirreno"). Diplomatosi in chitarra classica nel 1998 presso il Conservatorio Statale di Musica "N. Sala" di Benevento e laureando in Filosofia nel 2018 con una tesi su "Carlo Sini e le Arti Dinamiche" presso l'Università di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale, ha conseguito nel 2016 un master triennale di 600 ore in "Musicoterapia e Arti Terapie Integrate" presso la sede di Roma del circuito Ar.Te.D.O (Polo Mediterraneo delle Arti Terapie e delle Discipline Olistiche). Iscritto al C.U.M. – Sanità (Consiglio Unitario Musicoterapisti – Sanità), divide la sua attività professionale tra l'insegnamento dello strumento musicale ai più giovani, la pratica semi-professionale di musicista e quella professionale di esperto in musicoterapia ispirandosi a due modelli, tra loro complementari: quello psico-dinamico che si rifà all'originalissimo concetto di ISO (identità sonora) esplicitato da Rolando Omar Benenzon (tra i massimi esponenti mondiali della musicoterapia "attiva"), e quello psico-fisiologico integrato che si rifà, tra i vari, al concetto di "postura esistenziale" di Vezio Ruggieri.
