Weniger, weil WissenschaftlerInnen keine politische Meinung haben sollen, das ist unmöglich, sie können ihren Status als BürgerIn nicht in Labor und Hörsaal ablegen. Die Sorgen entstammen den meist unsystematischen Beobachtungen, dass aus den Deutungsmustern des Rechtspopulismus das Wesen der Wissenschaft selbst, ihr Wahrheits- und Vernunftanspruch, infragegestellt wird. Noch besorgter stimmt, wenn dieser Denkhabitus in der Hochschullehre auftritt und Studierende zu manipulieren droht. Die vorliegende Studie nimmt sich dieses Problemfeldes an einem exemplarischen Beispiel an. Zentrale Fragen der Sozialökologie beziehungsweise der Sozialen Nachhaltigkeit werden im Blick des Rechtspopulismus delegitimiert. Die Auseinandersetzung ist daher zwingend geboten.
