Italia 1785, quattro anni prima della Rivoluzione francese, nei tempi in cui la ragione umana cominciò a perfezionarsi, i Letterati, i Sapienti, gli Stampatori italiani trovarono il coraggio di rivolgere al papa la loro Supplica, un inno alla libertà di stampa. L'opera, di autore anonimo, è indirizzata al pontefice romano Pio VI cui è chiesta l'abolizione dell' Indice dei libri proibiti e la liberalizzazione del sapere letterario. Il documento, riportato in conformità al testo originale, presenta nella prima parte una nota dedicata ai lettori in cui è critica a più riprese la censura dei libri operata dalla Congregazione per la riforma dell'Indice dei Libri Proibiti. Si occupa di studi religiosi, teologia delle religioni e del rapporto tra il cristianesimo, le culture e le religioni locali. Dal 2011 al 2013 ha vissuto a Taiwan dove ha svolto attività di studio presso l'Università Cattolica Fu Jen di Taipei e ricerche sul campo interessandosi delle religioni cinesi.
