In occasione dell’ottantesimo anniversario dalla pubblicazione del Manifesto della Razza, atto prodomico a quelle che sarebbero state le successive leggi razziali, base ideologica e pseudo-scientifica della politica razzista dell'Italia fascista, Durango Edizioni pubblica un’opera collettiva, una raccolta di saggi brevi, con l’obiettivo di riflettere su quali siano stati i fondamenti culturali che hanno portato, nel secolo scorso, alla diffusione del concetto di razza, all’uso dello stesso in ambito scientifico, col fine di giustificare una presunta superiorità di una parte dell’umanità sull’altra, e – soprattutto – sul ritorno dirompente della questione, che induce a pensare sia in corso una nuova torsione identitaria, rilanciata pesantemente sul piano del dibattito politico, che evidenzia il collegamento tra dimensione istituzionale, sentire popolare e discorso quotidiano e che invece sul piano del dibattito interno ai “saperi esperti” è ormai ampiamente superato.
