"Sagen, was Sache ist"

Versuche explorativer Ethik. Festgabe zu Ehren von Hans G. Ulrich

About this book

"Sagen was Sache ist". Attempts of Explorative Ethics]"Saying what is the matter". In this Festschrift, national and international colleagues and companions present attempts inspired by Hans Ulrich's program of "explorative ethics", as it has been shaped by Luther's famous dictum.Explorative ethics does neither prescribe nor merely describe; instead, it explores what is given to human beings through God's word and creative action. Explorative ethics is the domain of homo viator, homo totus, and homo politicus, all in one.Contributors explore core traditions of Christian ethics such as charity, mercy, justice, good works, forgiveness and discipleship, key questions such as "good and evil" or the relationship between divine and human action, alongside issues of material ethics such as the new media, politics of peace and the politics of trash. On top of these, the volume features some more narrative accounts of innovative interdisciplinary cooperation that Hans Ulrich championed in various fields.
