The interpretation of these and other phenomena, primarily in non-European but also European contexts, is one of the tasks of the discipline of missiology, today also known as intercultural theology.The contributions to this volume by the renowned missiologist Henning Wrogemann want to give an impression of the range of phenomena and questions from an intercultural, interreligious and epistemological perspective. Missiology on the way means two things: missiology is only possible as being on the way to the phenomena and as being on the way at the same time to a further development of its self-image as a scientific discipline.
