Das 17. Jahrhundert ist europaweit auch und gerade auf der Ebene der Religion und Frömmigkeit ein offen konfliktreiches. Dabei prĂ€gen die Wahrnehmungsmuster, die hinter den inter- und innerkonfessionellen Auseinandersetzungen stehen, zwangslĂ€ufig die Hermeneutik der Streitenden: Selbst- und Fremdwahrnehmung bedingen einander und nehmen in ihrer Wechselbeziehung Einfluss auf den Diskursverlauf. Dieses In- und Miteinander von Selbst- und Fremdwahrnehmung, hier gefasst als Wahrnehmungsformation, geht dann einher mit dem Akt des eigenen, also des individuell-subjektiven Bekennens. Der Untersuchung des Zusammenhangs von Wahrnehmungsformation und individuell-subjektiver konfessioneller Positionierung ist der vorliegende Tagungsband gewidmet. Ziel ist dabei auch, starre Kategorien wie "Irenik", "Polemik" oder "Orthodoxie", die in der Forschung nach wie vor große Beliebtheit genießen, hinsichtlich ihrer Bewertung religiös-konfessioneller DiskursphĂ€nomene vor allem des 17. Jahrhunderts auf ihre argumentative Belastbarkeit hin zu befragen.
