About This Book

Faithfulness to Tradition and Change within Roman-Catholic Theology and Church]These proceedings offer the results of the conference "Reform in Catholicism" – organized by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Germany and the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing. In a first part, the fundamental questions are raised how continuity and innovation are balanced in the Roman Catholic Church, which forms and instances of dealing with discontinuity it has developed, and how it tries to interconnect change and loyalty to tradition. These issues are illuminated from a Catholic and Protestant perspective. In a second part, the question of transformation processes is further deepened by selected case studies.
