Im Jahr 2002 stellte Martin Nicol das Programm einer "Dramaturgischen Homiletik" vor und wollte damit einen Impuls zur Erneuerung der Predigt setzen. Im März 2018 fragte ein Braunschweiger "Bugenhagen-Symposium", was dieser Impuls ausgelöst hat, wo seine Chancen und Grenzen liegen und wie es mit der Homiletik weitergehen könnte und sollte. Die Grundfragen jeder Predigtlehre nach Ziel und Sinn der Kanzelrede, biblischer Hermeneutik, Hörern und Predigern, Zeit und Situation, liturgischer Verortung und gegenwärtigen kommunikativen Herausforderungen werden so im Spiegel der dramaturgisch homiletischen Impulse neu bedacht.Der Band schließt mit dem Abdruck der Erlanger Abschiedsvorlesung von Martin Nicol vom 4. Februar 2019. Darüber hinaus enthält er Beiträge von Heinrich Assel, Katharina Bach-Fischer, Alexander Deeg, Friederike Erichsen-Wendt, Holger Eschmann, Albrecht Grözinger, Jan Hermelink, Ferenc Herzig, Ralph Kunz, Michael Meyer-Blanck, Kathrin Oxen, Dieter Rammler und Nico Szameitat.[Dramaturgical Homiletics. A critical interim evaluation]In 2002 Martin Nicol published the program of a "Dramaturgical Homiletics" (Dramaturgische Homiletik) and wanted to release an ipulse for a homiletical renewal. In March 2018 a "Bugenhagen Symposium" was held in Braunschweig asking about the results of this impulse, about its chances and limits and the future of homiletics in Germany and Europe. The basic questions of any homiletics, the questions about the aim of preaching, Biblical hermeneutics, listeners and preachers, time and situation, liturgical context and present communicative challenges were reconsidered in the context of "Dramaturgical Homiletics."The volume closes with the publication of Martin Nicol's academic farewell lecture delivered on February 4, 2019.
