Jahrhundert nachzeichnen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Umkehrbewegung, wie sie durch Pioniere wie Karl Barth, Elisabeth Schmitz, Wilhelm Vischer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Eberhard Bethge, Helmut Gollwitzer, Friedrich-Wilhelm Marquardt eingeleitet und im Rheinischen Synodalbeschluss "Zur Erneuerung des Verhältnisses von Christen und Juden" 1980 zum Durchbruch gekommen ist. Damit soll zugleich eine vorläufige Bilanz der Arbeit des Verfassers an einer theologischen Neubestimmung des christlichen-jüdischen Verhältnisses gezogen werden. The focus lies upon the reversal initiated by pioneers like Karl Barth, Elisabeth Schmitz, Wilhelm Vischer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Eberhard Bethge, Helmut Gollwitzer, Friedrich-Wilhelm Marquardt, as it was formulated in an authoritative way in the declaration "Towards Renovation of the Relationship of Christians and Jews, " adopted by the Evangelical Church of the Rhineland in 1980.
