Vor wenigen Jahren noch war genauso sicher, dass die Kirche eine Mitgliedschaftsorganisation ist. Ging es seinerzeit vor allem um die Verwaltung knapper Ressourcen, so geht es jetzt um die Ermöglichung flüchtiger Begegnungen. Wollte man seinerzeit ganz im Sinne gewinnmaximierender Unternehmen unbedingt wachsen, so will man jetzt ganz im Sinne digitaler Medien jede Gelegenheit zur Kommunikation wahrnehmen. Daran irritiert die Anfälligkeit für intellektuelle Moden. Die Kirche erkennt ihre Zeitgenossenschaft in der Übernahme von Leitbegriffen des öffentlichen Diskurses. Dazu gehören zwar Organisations- und Netzwerkterminologien. Aber erstens sind Organisation und Netzwerk keine Gegenbegriffe.
