In interdisziplinĂ€rer und ökumenischer Weise versammelt er biblisch-theologische, kirchengeschichtliche, systematisch-theologische, praktisch-theologische und religionswissenschaftliche Herangehensweisen verschiedener Generationen und zeigt in einer Vielzahl von Perspektiven, dass Geschlechtlichkeit fĂŒr den Menschen Gabe und Aufgabe zugleich ist.[The Conception of Man and the Conception of God. So far, German-speaking protestant theology has only reluctantly started to engage these controversies about sexual identity and sexuality. This volume opens a conversation with current insights and concerns from gender studies and discusses their implications for central theological topics. Within an interdisciplinary and ecumenical scope and from scholars of different generations, it combines contributions from biblical, historical, dogmatic, and practical theological perspectives as well as from religious studies. A variety of perspectives demonstrate how concepts of sexuality both challenge and inspire theological engagement.
