Los Principios Procesales son directrices orientadas a optimizar el desenvolvimiento del Proceso Judicial. Por ello, referirse a los Principios Procesales es referirse al Proceso Judicial, y viceversa, puesto que todo Proceso Judicial que se precie de tal, debe contemplar un mínimo de principios garantes, sin los cuales degenerará en algo distinto. El presente libro pretende aproximarse a responder ¿qué son los principios procesales?, ¿para qué sirven?, ¿cuál es su origen?, ¿es el Debido Proceso el gran "mega principio"? Para responder a estas interrogantes, la obra reformula el alto número de principios procesales a cuatro grandes categorías conceptuales: (a) Principios garantes del Proceso –con rango constitucional o convencional y sin los cuales sencillamente no podría hablarse de Proceso-; (b) Principios procesales específicos o stricto sensu –que inciden en el mejor desenvolvimiento de los diferentes tipos de procesos-; (c) Reglas técnicas –similares a los actuales principios del procedimiento-; (d) y Sistemas –como conjuntos organizados de principios y reglas-. Destacan la manera –crítica y multidisciplinar- como la obra trabaja el tema escogido, teniendo en cuenta el pensamiento de procesalistas y filósofos del Derecho. Se trata pues, de una obra que cumple su objetivo, al ser un estudio efectuado en profundidad, documentado y coherente, sobre la comprensión de los Principios Procesales.
