Investigación y formación: aportes para la convivencia escolar es una publicación que surge a partir de los desarrollos conceptuales y de indagación formulados en la línea de investigación en Creatividad, Cognición y Emoción. Los autores son profesores y estudiantes de la maestría en Educación, de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. El estudio de la metacognición en docentes es una oportunidad para comprender las implicaciones que tiene el experimentar con y reflexionar acerca de los procesos metacognitivos, y a partir de ello poder transferir dichas experiencias a sus estudiantes. Las actividades metacognitivas están directamente relacionadas con los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje, lo que las convierte en un tema central para profesores y docentes en formación. Este libro tiene dos propósitos: el primero, presentar avances de investigación en el ámbito y, el segundo, socializar los productos de la investigación elaborada por Aguilera et al. (2017), los cuales están conformados por un cuestionario de autopercepción metacognitiva y la Propuesta de formación docente en metacognición para la intervención en situaciones-problema de carácter interpersonal entre estudiantes.
