Im Zuge des Übergangs zur Informationsgesellschaft vollzieht sich gegenwĂ€rtig ein tiefgreifender Wandel, der sĂ€mtliche wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Bereiche erfaßt. Als eine treibende Kraft dieser Entwicklung wird die zunehmende Verbreitung neuer Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien angesehen. Diese bergen einerseits Wachstums- und BeschĂ€ftigungspotentiale, können jedoch andererseits auch zu einer Rationalisierung des Produktionsprozesses und somit zu einer Einsparung von ArbeitskrĂ€ften fĂŒhren.
