Die direkte Abhängigkeit des umlagebasierten Finanzierungsverfahrens von der demographischen Entwicklung stellt die Soziale Pflegeversicherung mittel- und langfristig vor erhebliche Finanzierungsschwierigkeiten. Vor diesem Hintergrund analysiert die Arbeit unter Anwendung der Methode der Generationenbilanzierung die Nachhaltigkeit der Sozialen Pflegeversicherung sowie die damit verbundenen intergenerativen Lastverschiebungen. Neben der demographischen Komponente werden zudem speziell den Pflegebereich betreffende Faktoren dargestellt sowie deren (Finanzierungs-)Effekte quantifiziert.
