Die Bedeutung von Ausgaben fĂŒr öffentliche Zwischenprodukte wird in Modellen zum zwischenstaatlichen Wettbewerb um Kapital kaum berĂŒcksichtigt. In diesem Buch wird daher der Schwerpunkt der Betrachtung auf den Ausgabenwettbewerb gelegt. Insbesondere wird gezeigt, dass die fiskalpolitischen Instrumente – Steuern und Ausgaben fĂŒr öffentliche Zwischenprodukte – als strategische Variablen zur Attrahierung von Kapital substituierbar sind. Aus dieser Analyse wird ein Wert ermittelt, der das Niveau beider fiskalpolitischer Instrumente zusammengefasst beschreibt. Des Weiteren wird untersucht, inwiefern Ausgabenwettbewerb durch Steuerharmonisierungsvorschriften beeinflusst wird.
