by reducing the hazardous materials we introduce into our environment.

How has the development of new materials and technologies aided the growth in the

LED sector?

New developments in any of the components of our LEDs can help by improving the

performance of the product, reducing the cost to manufacture the product, simplifying

the manufacturing or improving the reliability and lifetime.

What is the ultimate potential of LED lighting?

LEDs have the potential to replace all existing traditional lighting sources, thereby

Are there still obstacles to face?

The biggest obstacle is not technology, but increasing the end-customer’s awareness of

the benefits of LED lighting — convincing the market that the technology is ready and

creating channels to deliver the product.

What is your company philosophy?

We are working to make energy-inefficient light bulbs obsolete. We aim to do this

through a constant focus on innovation and velocity.
