God Is Speaking
About this book
The title, God Is Speaking, and the words in this book were given to me by God. These are words of encouragement, instruction, and inspiration all in the form of poetry. These are not my words. I am the instrument that God used to put it on paper.
God is an awesome God. He knows the right things to say and the right time to say them. My prayer is that people will find comfort and peace when reading these words and that they will truly be blessed.

Information
What More Can I Do?
I came to the world offering peace, hope, and love.
I was rejected by those who didnāt believe I was sent from above.
Willingly, I left my heavenly home on high,
Knowing I would have to suffer, bleed, and die.
They spit on me, beat me, and even put a crown of thorns on my head,
Hung me on a cross and pierced me in the side, they wanted me dead.
Little did they know I always had a choice,
But because of my love for the world, I obeyed my Fatherās voice.
He couldnāt find anyone worthy enough to take your place,
I sacrificed my life to save the human race.
On the third day morning, I rose with all power in my hands.
I did what I was sent to do, I redeemed man.
Betrayed, humiliated, and mocked, think about all I went through
To free you from sin, tell me what more can I do?
All you have to do is accept Me and live right,
Just follow my instructions morning, noon, and night.
My love is unconditional, Iāll forgive you if you stray.
Let me be your Lord and Savior, itās the only way.
One day, ready or not, the trumpet will sound.
In what condition do you want to be found?
Signs and warnings, I send them again and again,
And some of you still choose to live in sin.
Trust me in all you do, donāt doubt or fall apart.
I gave my life for you, will you give me your heart?
On the third day morning, I rose with all power in my hands,
I did what I was sent to do, I redeemed man.
Nails didnāt keep me on the cross, it was my love for you.
I suffered, bled, and died, tell me what more can I do?

About the Author
Darlena Artis Newson was born in Pikeville, North Carolina, on September 13, 1954. She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1972. Darlena began writing poetry at the age of eight. After graduating, she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she married and had two girls. She later had a son and moved back to North Carolina where she joined Elm Grove Church.
She began writing poems for people in and outside of the congregation. God has given her a wonderful gift with words. āThese are not my words. Iām the instrument that God uses to put them on paperā is what she gladly tells anyone who hears her poetry.
God also called her to preach his Word. On October 7, 2018, she delivered her initial sermon. This book has been a long time coming. God did it in his time. Anything worth having or doing is worth waiting for.
