Poetry of the Heart and Mind

About this book

Poetry of the Heart and Mind is not simply just about loss, love, and pain. It's much more than that. The author wanted to convey simple words to bring out the deepest emotions many people choose not to show either because they think it's a sign of weakness or not manly. It was a way for the author to his head straight from life. The author chose to share his thoughts with the world to help those who think there is no one to help them. Knowing everyone has different ways of dealing with life's crazy turns, just remember to always look on the brighter side of things and push forward. Know when one takes a chance to experience new things because they simply never know where it can lead you. Life is too short to dwell on what was. Focus on what one can take from their past to create a brighter future.

Writing is very therapeutic for the heart, mind, and soul. As you read this book, you will experience love, passion, anguish, self-doubt, compassion, and eventually hope. There is help everywhere. Talk to a close friend or family member, write, sing, play an instrument, and find what works. Don't waste time because it is short and valuable. Cherish every moment because life will always throw a curveball!

The author's hope is that after the reader finishes reading this book, they'll understand that even though people have different circumstances, they all still have basic and fundamental commonality, and that's being human.

You made me smile
You made me laugh
You made my heart
Beat so fast
We both said ā€œI love youā€
We felt it would last
You broke my heart
Like in my past
You erased every moment
Like nothing past
Did I even matter
I guess I was just a big laugh
No friends no family
Is now what I have
I start again from my past
I’ve learned a lesson
Love is a word which now holds no meaning
I’ll live my life with no more feeling
I num myself to feel no pain
Because life itself is a bullshit game
You can say I’m a lost man
In a lost world
The values I hold true
Have withered and died
I am now completely
Nothing inside
I’m not lost, I haven’t miss spoken
My morals and values
Are no longer sought out
For this world, we now live
From here on out
End
This book may seem dark and gloomy
But my heart is full of love, not doom
The goal of this is to teach all
That life is life, it may or may not have an end
Stop and breathe and move again
Don’t dwell on past things, just remember the moments
Of joy and happiness
It’s okay to feel such pain and misery
The key is to gain open visibility
Learn to cope, find your peace
Create an outlet for you to reach
I may seem sad, I may seem broken
But my heart is pure, and my eyes are open
Everyone is different, and each situation
But one commonality is help is always open
I found my help in the form of writing
I’m not looking for fame or fortune
Simply share human emotions
We are social in nature, looking for a bond
The lesson to take from this
Is that life is a journey
Don’t let it beat you down, or you’ll miss all the beauty
