AUTHOR
Both 1 and 2 Corinthians are attributed to Paul in their salutations and show every historical and literary evidence of Pauline authorship. Indeed, the Pauline authorship of 1 Corinthians has never been disputed and the letter is already attested in the 90s by Clement of Rome (cf. 1 Clem. 37:5; 47:1–3; 49:5) and in the first decade of the second century by Ignatius (cf. Ignatius Eph. 16:1; 18:1; Rom. 5:1, etc.).1
