Nights with God by My Side
The darkness so calm and so peaceful,
The wind blows just enough for tree branches to tap your windows.
The night of day,
To me it seems that way God is there beside me.
To fear,
I cannot fear,
The dark can’t touch me.
There is a light illuminating around me,
I see no darkness,
What is to fear?
There is nothing to fear my soul belong to God.
I feel like the moon smiling and full of light,
With the scattered stars around me,
To guard me through the night.
How sacred it is to feel love in the darkest hours of night,
To turn on a light to see through the night,
Would only show I am frightened.
To feel peace in your sleep has such a mental toll,
How much better and gracefully your sunlit day will go.

For God is by my side.
