Escribimos quince creyentes en la fe del fútbol, unos desde el testimonial, otros desde el ensayo, desde la imaginación académica, otros desde la investigación. Nues-tra intención en estos textos es dar cuenta de la influencia que tiene el fútbol en la sociedad colombiana y, a su vez, cómo nuestra idio-sincrasia afecta la manera de vivir y de jugar al fútbol. Bienvenidos a esta pasión del fútbol. El partido (el libro) no ha empezado. Estamos apenas en los actos protocolarios. Este libro, como todo partido, tendrá, esperamos, de todo: emoción, ritmo, aburrimiento, perde-dera de tiempo, goles y antigoles.
