Publicar arquitectura es mucho más que mostrar proyectos o productos del que uno o más arquitectos son autores. Hacer y, complementariamente, enseñar hoy arquitectura es un proceso integral y holístico del que participan numerosos actores y que se basa en el procesado crítico de información antes, durante y después de la producción de las ideas que se convertirán en proyectos y, eventualmente, en edificios. La principal característica de nuestra época es que el flujo de información disponible acerca de cualquier tema es inabarcable, y que el acceso a ella es instantáneo y masivo. Es por eso, que el recorte intencional de esa información publicada o exhibida debe ser claro, democrático, honesto y debe dialogar continuamente con la realidad de la sociedad a la que pertenecemos. En el proceso de renovación, inestable, errático y fragmentado que viven hoy nuestras facultades, registrar las ideas y metodologías de las nuevas generaciones de profesores de arquitectura es para nosotros una tarea cultural prioritaria. Así, esta colección -inaugurada con este libro de Carlos Campos acerca de su extraordinario trabajo en la UBA- tiene como principal objetivo registrar las experiencias, anhelos y perspectivas de quienes conducirán a miles de estudiantes en su formación como intelectuales.
