Ausgehend vom Theologumenon der Gottebenbildlichkeit des Menschen wird diskutiert, wie deren ursprĂŒnglich intendierte funktionale Aussage im Horizont pluralistischer Kultur wiederhergestellt und gegenĂŒber einer material-ontologischen Auslegung fruchtbar gemacht werden kann. DafĂŒr wird im Anschluss an die kritische Theorie J. Butlers - insbesondere ihre Konzepte von Autonomie und VulnerabilitĂ€t -, den anerkennungstheoretischen Ansatz A. Honneths und an die Theologie E. Schillebeeckx' der Weg einer negativen Anthropologie und Ethik vorgeschlagen.Somit wird eine Hermeneutik entworfen, die sich an der Verletzbarkeit des Menschen orientiert. Sie gewĂ€hrleistet eine ethische und anthropologische Offenheit, die den Menschen als das bildlose Bild Gottes gegen gewaltvolle Zugriffe und fixierende Rahmungen je neu zur Geltung bringt.
