INTRODUCTION

This book offers a choice of 50 different things for you to draw. Some are fairly simple and others more complex, but all are worth having a go at as exercises in drawing. Each project is broken down into steps to show the drawing process, followed by a page on which you can make your own version using my drawings as reference. Of course, once you have tried these subjects, you may be inspired to tackle a few others of your own choice. That’s the idea – all around us there are plenty of things to draw, and it’s just a matter of deciding which ones you are interested in. Practice is the most useful thing in drawing, and the more you practise the more skilled you will be. So have a go and see how you get on. Good luck, and keep drawing!
