The Harmonized Gospel Apocalyptic Version

About this book

The book is different from typical attempts at harmonization where similar scriptures are simply listed in parallel. In this book the four gospels are weaved together in an intricate biographical and logical sequence, with the propitious outcome that a number of perceived bible inconsistencies have been laid to rest. Considered also in the timeline is some new information on the length of Christ's ministry and the crucifixion date, which is instrumental in resolving some of the differences in the Gospel accounts.

Information

CHAPTER 1
The origin of Jesus Christ
A From eternity, a being called ’the Word’ existed. This ‘Word’ always was a God and he was with another God being[1]. Jn1:1
B From eternity, these two were together. Jn1:2
C The ‘Word’ was involved in everything that was done and nothing was made without his participation[2]. Jn1:3
D He too possessed eternal life and his manifestation was a light to mankind. Jn1:4
E This light shone in darkness of this world and the world did not understand it. Jn1:5
F His was the true Light, which shows the way to everyone born into the world. Jn1:9
G He was in the world, which was made by him, but the world did not know him. Jn1:10
H He came to his creation and they did not receive him. Jn1:11
I But to those who will receive him, he makes them into the very sons of God. This he does to all who come to believe in him. Jn1:12
J He was made flesh and blood, not by any human means, but by the power of God. Jn1:13
K This ‘Word’ was made flesh and walked among us. We did witness his excellence as the only one sired of the Father, full of grace and truth, Jn1:14
L and of this fullness and abounding grace we have all partook. Jn1:16
M For the law was given through Moses, while forgiveness truly came by Jesus Christ[3]. Jn1:17
N Here then is the gospel of Jesus Christ[4], the Son of God. Mk1:1

1 This is the first time in the Bible that God has clearly revealed himself to be two entities working in consort. The old testament merely hinted at the true nature of God in Gen 1:26, where God said ‘Let us make man in our image …’, while prophesying of Christ’s future role in Dan 7:9 ~14; Ps 110:1 and Is 9:6. The entity that John calls ‘The Word’ in John 1:1 gave up his immortality and became Jesus Christ (John 1:14; Phil 2:6 ~ 8) while the other God entity was referred to as ‘The Father’ by Christ (Mat 11:28). Christ’s prior existence as a God being is reinforced in Mat 1:23 and John 17:5.
2 ‘The Word’ was involved in all creation (John 1:3, 10) and he was the God being that directly communicated with mankind prior to his manifestation as Jesus Christ (John 1:18; Gen 3:9; Gen 18:13; Gen 32:30; Jos 5:14-15; ICor 10:4; Heb 7:1-3).
3 Though Moses wrote down the law, statutes and judgments, it was the pre-incarnate Christ who gave them to him (Ex 34:1; Lev 26:46; Num 30:16).
4 The Books of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John have come to be known as the Gospels and are historical accounts of the life, work and teachings of Jesus Christ. The word ‘gospel’ is derived from the Greek ‘euaggelion’ (Strong’s 2098) meaning good news or good message. The good news that Christ delivered was about a new and perfect government to be set up by God, and that all humans could be eventually reborn as immortals because Christ would die to clear their sins.
CHAPTER 2
The miraculous conception of John the Baptist
A During the reign of Herod, king of Judaea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia[1]. His wife, Elisabeth, was also from the line of Aaron. Lk1:5
B Both of them were righteous, walking faithfully before God in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. Lk1:6
C However, they were childless, because Elisabeth was barren, and they were now in their old age. Lk1:7
D One day, Zacharias was carrying out his duties as a priest in the temple according to the schedule of his course. Lk1:8
E By tradition, his assigned job as a priest was to burn incense in the temple of the Lord, Lk1:9
F and he was carrying out this task at the appointed time, while a sizable number of people were praying before the altar. Lk1:10
G Then, on the right side of the altar, a...
