MY AFFLICTION HAS A SOUND

Discover the powerful connection between sound and our suffering

About this book

Since the dawn of time, mankind has used sound to receive information from the environment, to communicate with each other and to heal and transform. Almost all ancient cultures believed, and still believe, that sound is the creative, generative force which brought the Universe into being. In the New Testament John 1: 1 states "In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." In the book of Genesis, the Bible refers to the God-force or creative force of the Universe (Elohim) who spoke, uttered a sound – the result was the world created in 7 days! This book is birthed out of a couple of messages Pastor Penny Francis preached at Ruach City Church. “My Affliction has a Sound” is all about the powerful connection of sound to our seasons of difficulty and how Jehovah God responds to the sounds of His people. It is not hard to come to the conclusion that when we go through times of affliction, even when we don’t cry, we cry because our Affliction has a Sound!
