Waikiki

Waikiki – the name alone will have you thinking of boundless horizons, Pacific sunsets and hula dancers gently swaying to the beat of island rhythms. Once the playground of Hawaiian royalty, this remains Oʻahu’s quintessential beach. And Waikiki has reinvented itself, moving beyond plastic mass tourism, with stylish resort hotels, fashion-forward boutiques, and sophisticated restaurants and cocktail lounges.

The Sights in a Day

MStart your day admiring the King David Kalakaua Statue on Kalakaua Ave, then have breakfast at Eggs 'n' Things. Head to the Hawaiʻi Army Museum for a completely different look at Waikiki. You're out onto Fort DeRussy Beach from there.
RWander along the beachfront, then head through the Sheraton Waikiki to the historic Royal Hawaiian Hotel. A bit further down the street, head into the Moana Surfrider Hotel then back out to the beach. Check out the Wizard Stones of Kapaemahu, the Duke Kahanamoku Statue and if time is on your side, stroll down through Kapiʻolani Beach Park to Waikiki Aquarium.
NIt must be drinks time by now! Head back to Kuhio Beach for a sunset cruise on the Na Hoku II, complete with open bar. For dinner, grab a cab to Uncle Bo's on Kapahulu Ave, and if you can squeeze any more in, head up to Leonard's for malasadas for dessert.
