The Most Important Success Reasons
Any human being in life wants accomplishment and the achievement of his/ her goals; several causes, actions, and attitudes play an important role in achieving success, and they should be understood and accomplished on the field.
It should be noted that the concept of success is a relative one as it varies from one person to another. Success for some people is to get money, others consider professional success to be the real success, or some believe that success is to achieve predetermined goals or all of what is mentioned, and despite the difference between individuals in considering success, the reasons for success are the same despite its relative concept.
As for the ingredients for success, some consider that money is one of the most important reasons for success, others believe that political, socioeconomic factors play an important role in achievement, while others believe that the state in which an individual exists and the ethical and legal structure of society are the most important reasons for success.
If we look at the reasons for human success and achieving his/ her goals, we find that the real situation and experience has shown that the three main reasons for success are as follows:
1-Self-Confidence
Self-confidence is considered the most important reason for achieving success; the person with self-confidence has the most important reason for success, and the person without self-confidence has lost the most important reason that can lead to success and achieving goals.
Self-confidence is the balanced psychological state of a human being that enables him/ her to deal boldly and rationally with different situations, enables him/ her to take advantage of opportunities and face challenges, and enables him/ her to remain steadfast in the way he/ she achieves his/ her goals and ambitions.
Suppose that two engineers applied for a job, the first has high self-confidence and medium experience, and the second has weak self-confidence and good experience. There is no question that the first engineer has a better chance of getting a job as he has the most significant justification for success, which is self-confidence.
The term "self-confidence" is not clear enough to know how to raise self-confidence, and the question arises here: how can self-confidence be raised? Or what is the source of self-confidence?
Let us say you work in electrical appliances maintenance and sat down with a lawyer to discuss some matters related to civil laws and how to apply them to individuals, in this case, who has more self-confidence, you or the lawyer? Without a doubt, the lawyer will have more self-confidence because he has more information than you about the area of civil law. Nevertheless, if you negotiate with the lawyer how to manage electrical appliances, then there is no denying that your self-confidence will be higher than that of the lawyer, and you will have more information than him about the operation of electrical appliances.
The previous example demonstrates that information is the main source of self-confidence, and the more information you have, the more self-confidence you gain.
However, you cannot have information about all areas of life, and it is not required you to have information about all areas of life because this is not possible at all; there is a very large acceleration in the field of information reached nearly 20 thousand inventions a day worldwide, i.e., 20 thousand new information every day, and the question arises: How do I start to have more information to raise my self-confidence? The answer is in the following way:
know everything about something and something about everything
You are required according to the first part to know everything about something, i.e., to know all about your competence and your role in life, if you work in the field of electrical devices maintenance, you have to have much information about this topic to reach the point where you are satisfied with yourself that you have enough information to succeed and excel in this field, but having this information is not enough, you also have to know something about everything, i.e., you have to have information about other areas of life such as history, health, law, education, sports and other areas of life, but not as much information as you have about your competence and your role in life, it is enough to know general information about each of the previous areas, and it is not necessary to have a large amount of information about these areas similar to the information you have about your competence and your role in life.
The equation is now clear: Success has many explanations, one of the most critical of which is self-confidence, and the basis of self-confidence is the possession of knowledge, and the mechanism of acquiring information is based on the following procedure.:
know everything about something and something about everything.
If you want to succeed, you need to enhance your self-confidence, and if you want to enhance your self-confidence, you need to have more information about your work and competence in particular and the rest of life in general.
The main benefit of having more information is to raise self-confidence and thus achieve success, and there is also another benefit that is not less important than achieving success, which is the increased desire to live; who stops reading and learning suddenly grows old and does not feel the desire to live, the rich mind with information is more impulsive to life than the poor mind with information, and this means that there is a direct relationship between your information and your desire to live.
If you want to get more information, you need to start getting information regarding the company and skills first, and once you are at the point where you are happy with yourself, you need to start getting general information about the rest of your life.
Start raising your self-confidence now by gaining more information, and the best way to gain more information is by reading and experimenting. Furthermore, twenty ways to raise self-confidence will be reviewed in the chapter on the concept of self-confidence as a principle of self-management.
Self-confidence is a general concept that is not clear, so we must know its source and how to strengthen and increase it. Sociologists have unanimously agreed that self-confidence is the primary reason for success.
2-Love of work
A reporter asked Apple co-founder Steve Jobs: If we want to succeed, what is the first thing we have to do? The answer was as follows:
You have to love your job
Yeah, love of work is almost as important a consideration as self-confidence to excel; love of work means that you enjoy your work more than what you enjoy most. If your favorite sport is football and you love it more than anything else, your love of work means that you love your work more than your love of football.
You cannot achieve any success when you do not love your work, and it is known that desire is the decisive factor in success. The student who studies a specialty that he does not love will not succeed in practical life even if he successfully graduates from the university, and the teacher who does not love his work will not teach the student his lesson compared to a teacher who loves his work, and if you work in the maintenance of electrical appliances and you do not love your work, it means that you will not reach development and creativity.
The worker or employee who loves his work will undoubtedly develop into a better job because he will innovate in his work, discover new ways and methods to get the job done and do his job perfectly.
Maybe many people are working in jobs that they do not enjoy because of their tough situations, in which situation, they can work to improve their connection to work and attempt to convince themselves they need to love their work, or they can look for another career that they can love, but remaining at work that they do not love will be a sign of disappointment and not a victory...
Every human being in this life wants to do what he likes, i.e., he wants to live in a house of his choice and have a good wife or a good husband and practice the hobbies he likes to practice, but this can only be achieved with one condition (love of work).
love what you do ......... to do what you love
Indeed, if you want the second part to be achieved (to do what you love), you must first begin to love your work.
Your love of your work means loyalty at work; an employee who does not love his work will not do his job well, and this is contrary to God's love for you, and perhaps your lack of mastery of your work makes your salary from your employer suspicious, because you have already signed a contract with your employer to do certain responsibilities at certain times, and your lack of love of your work makes you unable to abide by the contract you signed with your employer, so people who do not love their work do not accept for themselves that their source of income is suspicious.
Your love of your work not only means that you achieve a reason for success, but also a commitment to God's command that you must master your work, and those who do not love his/her work will not be able to master it in the long run.
Your love of your work has indicators, and your lack of love of your work has other indicators. Moreover, one of the most important indicators of your lack of love of your work is to look at the clock several times a day waiting for the end of the working day eagerly, and you rejoice when the work time is up, if you are so, you do not love your work, and this indicator shows that you are not on the right path to success. People who love their job do not watch the clock waiting for the conclusion of their working time just because they like doing their work, and they do not celebrate at the end of their work due to the obvious satisfaction they find for doing their work.
Everyone has multiple life options; you can work as a government employee or a private sector employee, invest in your own business, travel to study, or work abroad. Let us say you work as a private sector employee, i.e., the choice you have chosen yourself is to work for the private sector, and since you have chosen this option, you have to like this option because you have no other option. If you want to do what you love, you have to love what you do, your life choices are limited, and when you choose one of the options, you have no choice but to love this option until life takes you to a better reality, and the way to achieve it is your love of your work.
Your love of your work is reflected in many aspects; those who love his/her work will only be satisfied with achieving the best results and will positively look at themselves, and always create a challenge with themselves to motivate it to develop, grow and achieve the best.
Your love of work means that you are setting your foot at the beginning of the road to success. Even if you do not enjoy your work, you have to make yourself love it by improving your work view. Each work has a positive aspect or several positive aspects, the doctor helps people heal, and the engineer helps in the reconstruction of cities, and the teacher educates generations, and the cleaning worker contributes to improving human life and prevents the spread of diseases. Find the positive side of your work and try to make yourself love it. If you cannot change your work to another job, you can love it until you get your feet on the road to success.
When you start loving your work, your whole life will change for the better because you will only accept the best results, and you will reach excellence, creativity, and thus success and achieving goals.
Your love of your work is like a person who prays, and all his senses and heart are present and humble in prayer, so he achieves the ultimate goal of prayer, which is worship, psychological comfort, and joy, and whoever does not love his/her work is like the one who prays and waits impatiently for the last prostration until he/ she ends his/ her prayer, so he/ she did not achieve the goal of prayer and did not enjoy it.
The love of work is not only linked to success but also closely linked to psychological comfort and tranquility, those who love their work find their time and quality of life, in general, better than those who do not love their work.
Let us say you are going to spend your life in a job you do not love. Do you expect success and achieving goals! In this case, it is not easy to achieve success and self-harmony.
One journalist asked the famous American billionaire Warren Buffett: What kind of work do you recommend to achieve wealth? The answer was as follows: You have to start now with the work you will do when you have the wealth, which means you have to do a job you love to make the wealth.
The first reason for success is self-confidence and the second reason is the love of work. Furthermore, when you achieve the first and second reasons, you are making firm and well-established steps towards achieving goals and success.
Self-confidence and love of work are not just tips for success but are the pillars of real success, and it is very difficult to achieve long-term success in the absence of self-confidence or love of work.
3-Human psyche equilibrium
Achieving the first and second reasons for success (self-confidence and love of work) is never enough alone, and all efforts to achieve the first and second reasons are meaningless and will not work if they are not integrated with the third reason, which is to create harmony, balance, and integration between the three components of the human psyche (mind, soul, and body).
Who wants to master the English language must master three elements (grammar - pronunciation - vocabulary) vocabulary is the raw material of the English language, who does not know the vocabulary cannot even learn English, rules are the means of linking vocabulary and formation of a useful sentence, and pronunciation is the correct way to pronounce vocabulary when we want to communicate with others. It is inconceivable that a person who is proficient in English and knows nothing about the rules and tenses, and also it is inconceivable that a person who is proficient in English and does not know how to pronounce vocabulary, and in the absence of any of the three elements of English, we are faced with a defect and a crisis, and the human psyche, where there is a defect in any of its elements, usually does not function efficiently and faces disorder and problems.
Who wants equilibrium and integrity for his/ her human psyche, he/ she always has to make sure that its three components are completed and dealt with correctly, and any defect or problem that affects human life is due to a defect in one or more components of the human psyche.
Management is the determining factor in success at all levels, and economists say there is no successful project or failed project but there is successful management or failed management, as well as on a personal level, there is no successful person or a failed person, but there is someone who manages himself successfully and someone else does not know how to manage himself, and it is a management axiom to know the components of the thing that we manage so that we can manage it, so we need to know the components of the human psyche so that we can manage it.
The first component of the human psyche is the mind, and its food is information. The mind cannot perform its task of leading the human psyche if it does not possess renewed enough information, and the mind needs daily to acquire new information, and when the mind stops learning, a functional disorder occurs and affects the performance of the human psyche. This suggests that the mind needs fuel, and its food is knowledge, and the only thing that can be done to preserve the dignity of the mind is to continually feed fresh information about life, which, in turn, contributes to the rebirth of the mind and the renewal of its capacity to integrate and harmonize with the soul and the body.
It is not possible by any means to shorten, cancel, or marginalize the role of the mind; it processes information, makes decisions, keeps memories, and directs the performance of tasks.
